2023: Governor Okowa storms Sokoto, Receives APC decampees as Tambuwal welcome Okowa in a grand style.

The Delta State Governor, PDP Vice Presidential Candidate  Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa who was received by Sokoto Governor  Tambuwal, Deputy national Chairman North and top government official today received decampees from the All Progressive Congress APC.

Among those received from APC are

1. His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Salame

He's a former Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly; former Acting Governor of Sokoto State; currently a Member House of Representatives.

2. Rt. Hon. Aminu Mohammed Achida

He's the current Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly

3. Hon. Yusuf Suleiman 

He's a former Minister of Transport; former Minister of Youth and Sports; former Buhari Campaign DG, and currently the Chairman Governing Board of NAFDAC.

4. Hon. Yusuf Isah Kurdula 

He's the current member representing Gudu/Tangaza at the House of Representatives.

5. Sen. Bello Jibrin Gada OFR

He's a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; former Minister of the Feder Republic of Nigeria.

6. Hon. Aminu Bello ACY

Former Commissioner of Commerce; former Sokoto State APC Secretary 

7. Hon. Murtala Maigona 

Current member of Sokoto State House of Assembly representing Wamakko Constituency

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has thrown his weight behind of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) which rejected the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). BREAKING NEWS : Ovrode Community Shuts Down Ughelli/Asaba Express Way

The Residents of Ovrode Community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, has shutdown Ughelli/Asaba expressway in a renewed protest over negligence of the community by State and Federal Governments.   The protesters comprise of men, women and youths besieged the Ughelli/Asaba expressway for hours with placards bearing various inscription such as, “Ovrode is bleeding, “No Federal and State Government projects in Ovrode Community”, “Our Grammar school is in a bad shape, no teachers and  no chairs”, “No Constituency projects in Ovrode Community,” “Oil exploration in our community since 1963 till date , nothing to show for it”, among others.  Addressing newsmen at the scene of the protest,  the President General of Ovrode Community,  Mr Felix Efedhoma said,  both State and Federal Government has abandoned Ovrode Community despite being an Oil producing Community since 1963 till date.
