Deputy Senator President Omo-Agege Receives Decampees From PDP & APGA To APC In Delta State


Just recently, the popular Nigerian politician and the current Deputy Senate President of Nig, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege received decampees from the PDP and APGA Parties to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This is according to a new post shared by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Omo-Agege using his verified Facebook account. Below is a screenshot of the post.

According to the post, the Senator said “Yesterday, I was at Abraka in Ethiope East LGA of Delta State to receive decampees from PDP and APGA into the All Progressives Congress (APC)”.

Senator Omo-Agege added that “the atmosphere was electrifying and our people are determined to take back the State. We remain committed to this cause, because we know that we will win, and together we will build a new Delta State of our collective dream.

Employers Risk One-month Imprisonment For Late Payment Of Salaries

House of Representatives has passed for second reading a bill to prohibit late payment of salaries, underpayment of wages, pension, and other emoluments in Nigeria. The bill sponsored by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila has passed for second reading following the debate on the general principle of the bill. The bill seeks to prohibit employees from owing salaries and other emoluments. The bill is prescribing punishment for such employers. For instance, owing salaries above 60days, such an employer risks 30 days imprisonment. Section 2 of the bill provides that “Every employer of labor in Nigeria, whether private or public, and whether it is employing any worker on permanent or contract basis must ensure that all payment of wages, salaries, pension and all benefits to workers are paid promptly without delay weekly, fortnightly monthly, quarterly or yearly as may be agreed by parties in the contract of employment of the additional individuals” In addition, the bill prohibits ar...

The Edo State Governor,Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, has addressed the rising issues of young boys engaging in internet fraud, popularly known as yahoo yahoo in Nigeria. The governor opined that these young people who are engaging in all sorts of illegitimate means to make money must be brilliant, he also urged that efforts must be made to redirect their thinking for positive and legitimate use.  Speaking at an education town hall meeting in the state on Friday, February 19, Governor Obaseki said “I am concerned.
