“I Don’t Collect Change. I Will Collect Better Money And Not Hide It. Even IG Knows I'm Collecting Money” – Bribe-seeking Policeman Boldly Tells Motorists



A police officer has been caught on tape boldly seeking bride from motorists while reiterating that he does not collect “change”.

A member of Nigerian police officer that was filmed by road users, the officer and his colleague stopped a vehicle and demanded money from them after inspecting the car papers.

The officer was then offered an undisclosed amount, but he declined it and stated he only collects a large sum.

The bribe-seeking officer also declared that even the IGP knows he collects money from motorists.

According to him, the road is his “market” and the commuters are his “customers”.

POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS/RECOVERY OF 1 ENGLISH PISTOL

An intelligence investigation has led to the arrest of the prime suspect, Iyegbunuwe Oluchukwu ‘m’ of Issele-Uku.  The suspect led the detectives to their hideout at Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North LGA, where two other suspects, one Okwudili Ozah ‘m’ and Esther Nwoko ‘f’, were arrested and One (1) English revolver pistol, fifteen (15) rounds of live ammunition, and six (6) expended ammunition were recovered. Suspects allegedly stole the motorcycle at gunpoint and it’s suspected to be in the possession of one of their accomplices Chidinma Nwoko ‘m’, the husband of Esther Nwoko. The effort is on to arrest the other members of the gang. Employers Risk One-month Imprisonment For Late Payment Of Salaries

House of Representatives has passed for second reading a bill to prohibit late payment of salaries, underpayment of wages, pension, and other emoluments in Nigeria. The bill sponsored by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila has passed for second reading following the debate on the general principle of the bill. The bill seeks to prohibit employees from owing salaries and other emoluments. The bill is prescribing punishment for such employers. For instance, owing salaries above 60days, such an employer risks 30 days imprisonment. Section 2 of the bill provides that “Every employer of labor in Nigeria, whether private or public, and whether it is employing any worker on permanent or contract basis must ensure that all payment of wages, salaries, pension and all benefits to workers are paid promptly without delay weekly, fortnightly monthly, quarterly or yearly as may be agreed by parties in the contract of employment of the additional individuals” In addition, the bill prohibits ar...
