Delta State Government has inaugurated an 18-member Task Force on Primary Healthcare


The Delta State Government has inaugurated an 18-member Task Force on Primary Healthcare to upgrade primary healthcare facilities at the community level.

The task force is charged with ensuring the effective coordination of Primary Health Care (PHC) activities, intensifying routine immunization, and advocate for timely and adequate resource allocation.

The Edo State Governor,Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, has addressed the rising issues of young boys engaging in internet fraud, popularly known as yahoo yahoo in Nigeria. The governor opined that these young people who are engaging in all sorts of illegitimate means to make money must be brilliant, he also urged that efforts must be made to redirect their thinking for positive and legitimate use.  Speaking at an education town hall meeting in the state on Friday, February 19, Governor Obaseki said “I am concerned. FG Upgrades Curriculum for Universities, Adds 50 programs

The Federal Government through the National Universities Commission has finalized a new curriculum for Nigerian Universities. The commission also made it known that the number of programs has been increased from 188 to 238. The PUNCH reports that the NUC had last year inaugurated a committee of experts drawn from various disciplines in Nigerian Universities to create the new Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards for Universities. The latest bulletin released by the commission and made available to our correspondent in Abuja explained that the committee had turned in their report to the commission. POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS/RECOVERY OF 1 ENGLISH PISTOL

An intelligence investigation has led to the arrest of the prime suspect, Iyegbunuwe Oluchukwu ‘m’ of Issele-Uku.  The suspect led the detectives to their hideout at Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North LGA, where two other suspects, one Okwudili Ozah ‘m’ and Esther Nwoko ‘f’, were arrested and One (1) English revolver pistol, fifteen (15) rounds of live ammunition, and six (6) expended ammunition were recovered. Suspects allegedly stole the motorcycle at gunpoint and it’s suspected to be in the possession of one of their accomplices Chidinma Nwoko ‘m’, the husband of Esther Nwoko. The effort is on to arrest the other members of the gang.
