NDLEA Arrests Pastor With Drums Of Illicit Drug, Mkpurummiri



The Operatives of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Sunday arrested one Akwa-Ibom pastor, Anietie Okon Effiong, with three drums of crystal methamphetamine locally known as mkpurummiri.

The drug is believed to have been imported from India.

According to the statement from the NDLEA, the consignment was intercepted during a stop-and-search operation along Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene highway on Saturday. 

Each drum was packed with 30kg of crystal methamphetamine and was meant for Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong, who was arrested in a follow-up operation at Oron beach in Oron
