Delta State Government Threatens To Sanction Absentee Principals, Teachers

Delta State Government has advised principals and teachers against lateness and absenteeism as the 2022/2023 academic session resumes on Monday 12/9/2022

The Delta State Commissioner for Primary Education, Mr. Sunny Onoriode, who gave the warning in Asaba, the state capital, on the preparation for schools resumption, said the government would not stumble to sanction anyone found wanting.

He stressed that Government is concerned over situations where principals, teachers, and in some cases pupils and students return late.

Such attitudes influence negatively the school system and therefore should be discouraged. We are urging the teachers to turn a new leaf.

Parents and caretakers should guarantee that their children return to school unfailingly as schools for normal academic activities.
