Okowa commissions Free School Project Ultra Modern Lumen Christi Nursery/Primary and Christi College, Owanta, Ika North East.



Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party and Governor of Delta State Sen Ifeanyi Okowa today commissioned a school project Ultra Modern Lumen Christi Nursery/Primary and Christi College, Owanta, Ika North East.

The school vision is owned  by REV. FR. MARIO-DAVID DIBIE OF LUMEN CHRISTI FAMILY ADORATION MINISTRY Maryland Isselle-Uku Delta State.

It contained Eight storey  buildings of sixteen self contained rooms each as hostel , two refectories for junior and senior students respectively, a two storey classroom block of classrooms with full amenities , a standard playing ground with various game and equipments and of course a chapel for prayers and other spiritual activities.

Some of REV. FR. MARIO-DAVID DIBIE works of Charity include care for the mentally afflicted, which made him establish a psychiatric home where inmates are taken care of free of charge , motherless babies ‘home to cater for the babies that where abandoned in bushes and those rejected by families .

He has also built houses for people who are poor and homeless, feeds the poor on daily basis and runs a scheme by which widows are fed and empowered financially in a bid to wipe away tears from their faces .

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has thrown his weight behind of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) which rejected the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). BREAKING NEWS : Ovrode Community Shuts Down Ughelli/Asaba Express Way

The Residents of Ovrode Community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, has shutdown Ughelli/Asaba expressway in a renewed protest over negligence of the community by State and Federal Governments.   The protesters comprise of men, women and youths besieged the Ughelli/Asaba expressway for hours with placards bearing various inscription such as, “Ovrode is bleeding, “No Federal and State Government projects in Ovrode Community”, “Our Grammar school is in a bad shape, no teachers and  no chairs”, “No Constituency projects in Ovrode Community,” “Oil exploration in our community since 1963 till date , nothing to show for it”, among others.  Addressing newsmen at the scene of the protest,  the President General of Ovrode Community,  Mr Felix Efedhoma said,  both State and Federal Government has abandoned Ovrode Community despite being an Oil producing Community since 1963 till date.
