David Edevbie heads to Supreme Court.

Image
Gentlemen and Ladies, the decision of the Court of Appeal given today was not in our favor. The Appeal Court dwelt mostly on technical grounds and not the substance of the case. Of course, we saw this coming given the cases of bribery and influence. This is not strange with various cases at the Court of Appeal. For those who can recall so much about past election cases at the election tribunals, it was for this reason that the final judgment in electoral cases which used to terminate at the Appeal Court was extended to the Supreme Court. So, one thing is sure, we are heading to the Supreme Court. Let us not be dismayed. It is also a phase in the process. Sometimes, they have the upper hand, some other times, we have the upper hand. We won at the court of the first instance, they won at the intermediate court. Recall also that in the case of Degi in Bayelsa, the PDP won at the first court, Degi and the APC won at the Court of Appeal and finally, the PDP won at the Supreme Co...

This will ensure that the government will pay with only one payment platform that will harmonize all the technical peculiarities. “If you bring some demands and almost 80% have been attended to, there is no need to drag the strike anymore. “It is unreasonable for the strike to be lingering seeing as the government has worked towards fulfilling most of the demands.” ASUU declared the commencement of a strike on Mond...

Goodluck Jonathan, the former President, has asked Kashim Shettima, Governor of Borno State, to tell the truth about his role in the abduction of Chibok school girls by Boko Haram in April 2014.

Image
Goodluck Jonathan, the former President, has asked Kashim Shettima, Governor of Borno State, to tell the truth about his role in the abduction of Chibok school girls by Boko Haram in April 2014. On Thursday, Shettima had said Jonathan performed poorly in office because he surrounded himself with “an assorted crop of religious bigots, tribal kindred and reactionary elements.” The governor spoke at the public presentation of a book, ‘On a Platter of Gold — How Jonathan won and lost Nigeria’, written by Bolaji Abdullahi, who was Minister of Sports in the Jonathan administration and is now the spokesman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Reacting to Shettima’s comment, Jonathan said he knew the role played by the governor in the abduction of the schoolgirls that caused international outrage, including why the principal of the abducted girls’ school is now a commissioner in the state. “We didn’t expect anything less from Governor Shettima, knowing the ignoble roles h...

Image
Tukur Mamu said earlier this month that one of the terrorist commanders intended to wed 21-year-old Arzurfa Lois John, one of the abductees from the Abuja-Kaduna Train incident. One of the senior commanders is rumored to be in love with her, according to Mamu, who further emphasized this. He clarified that the crucial information should be handled with the appropriate urgency. In his speech, he stated, "Even though I am aware that disclosing this information will distress not only her immediate family and loved ones but also Nigerians as a whole, it is vital to do so to prevent a recurrence of Leah Sharibu's situation." Tukur Mamu, a media advisor to Sheikh Ahmad Gumi and a mediator for abduction victims of the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train, discussed the plight of Azurfa Lois John, and her captors' threat to force her into marriage. SHERIFF OBOREVWORI'S 2023 GOVERNORSHIP AMBITION AND THE ONSLAUGHT OF DIRTY POLITICAL JOBBERS/HIRELINGS.

Image
In recent times, political hirelings and those who have conquered shame because of their vaunting ambitions and desperation for the vault of Delta State Government have unceasingly churned out all manner of lies AGAINST the person of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori. In fact, in the history of Delta State politics, the level of ganging up against an individual by some members of his supposed "political family, and detractors" have never been this toxic! A few days ago, there was a circulation of what I term, a quackery investigation report targeted on the person and rising political profile of Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori. But thankfully, discerning minds were able to see through the hotchpotch of nonsense of these unknown investigators. As of today, the same has been thrashed and buried by Deltans who believe that the state must free itself from the grip of these political marauders. While Deltans were thinking that the shameless political Jo...

Image
Indications emerged yesterday that the Federal Government may consider the option of proscribing the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU if it fails to call off the prolonged strike after an offer was made to it. Multiple sources in the Presidency and the Ministry of Education told Vanguard that if ASUU refused to reciprocate the Federal Government’s gesture by calling off the strike, the government would consider the option of prescribing the union. One of the sources who spoke on condition of anonymity said:  “Because of the priority President  Muhammadu Buhari has paid to education, he has approved an additional N100 billion for the universities and about N57 billion for the Polytechnics and Colleges of Education. “This is part of the understanding with the unions on the re-negotiation of the 2009 Agreement. The government has also approved a 35 percent increase in salary for professors and a 23.5 percent increase for other lecturers. The government also ...

Trillions Spent Buying Nose Masks, Hand Sanitizers Over Covid-19 Could've Solved ASUU Issue -Governor Bello

Image
“Like I used to say; I’ll return to the days when I was a loner, I think I’m still a loner on the issue of no COVID-19. The trillions spent buying nose masks and hand sanitizers, could have solved this ASUU issue, but that’s not. “I don’t think they [ministers] are representing Mr. President well. This is a man that cares so much about education, and even children during that lockdown were being fed at home. “Those who Mr. President entrusted to handle this protracted issue are not doing justice to it.” -Governor Yahaya Bello, Kogi State

2023: We’re Moving Out Of PDP If Crisis Remains Unresolved - Jerry Gana

Image
Former Minister of Information and leader of Nyesom Wike reconciliation camp, Professor Jerry Gana, has warned that if the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not resolved, Governor Nyesom Wike, himself and others will move out. Speaking while commissioning a project in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Gana called on Nigerians not to waste their votes for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), because they have failed Nigerians woefully. “We want to assure you that the problems with the PDP, we shall resolve them and if it doesn’t resolve, this leader, the governor here, together with all of us, we shall tell the people of Nigeria where to go. They are not babies. “Don’t make the mistake of wasting your vote to go to the other side. You know who I mean. They have failed woefully, embarrassingly failed, therefore don’t even go there,” he said.

The Toughest Job I Have Done Was Being APC Spokesman, You Cannot Do The Job Without Lying - Bolaji Abdullahi.

Image
Bolaji Abdullahi has spoken the hard truth. The hardest job he had done in his life was being an APC spokesman because you must lie. APC was founded on lies and propaganda. If you are an APC member or supporter, you must be a natural liar.  Bolaji Abdullahi in recently an interview with Arise TV said being the spokesman of APC was the hardest job he has ever done. According to him, you can't do that job without lying to Nigerians. According to Bolaji, APC came with a lot of campaign promises that were impossible for them to actualize. He went on to say that as a result of the shortcomings of APC, it became impossible for a spokesman like himself not to lie to Nigerians each time he had to defend the party in public. He went on to say that telling lies and doing things that go contrary to ethics was part of his job as a spokesperson in APC. Everything APC does is rooted in lies and they promote lying to a ridiculous level to deceive gullible Nigerians

In his judgment, Justice Taiwo disqualified Oborevwori, as the governorship candidate of PDP in Delta state. The trial judge had agreed with the plaintiff in the suit, Edevbie, that Oborevwori, ought not to be on the ballot for the PDP primary election on account of supplying false and forged documents to the INEC in aid of his qualification for the governorship election.
